About the job
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.
The Google Fi Strategy and Operations team is the core group defining the direction and long-term success of Google’s cellular service. We focus on driving growth and profitability by bringing cross-functional teams together to turn initial concepts into scalable, real-world solutions. This team helps to identify new market opportunities and build the operational infrastructure needed to launch, run, and sustain them.
In this role, you will be an expert in high-ambiguity environments and maintain a builder’s mindset. You will take high-level, "blue-sky" concepts, quantify business impact, align cross-functional partners, and construct the full operational infrastructure for launch. You will directly create the operational reality that brings our strategies to life.
Google Fi Wireless leverages the best of Google to deliver simple and secure mobile connectivity. Our team is responsible for the entire subscriber journey, from plan selection and device activation to providing award-winning coverage around the world. Our team's deep expertise spans cellular network operations, iOS and Android app development, and subscription business operations.
The Fi team applies Google's AI to solve complex, real-world problems - from AI-enhanced call audio to AI billing summaries to AI-powered cohort analysis - that helps Google Fi customers stay reliably connected to what’s most important to them.
The Fi team is committed to providing team members with the opportunity to build their applied AI skillset, so that all Fi subscribers can benefit from the best of Google's AI models.
