Job Description

Company Overview

Red 6 is an innovative Augmented Reality (AR) technology startup leading the way in synthetic air combat training. Our primary technology, supporting our ATARS product, enables pilots to simulate the cognitive challenges of flying while accessing realistic, scalable training in dynamic outdoor environments.

Position Overview

Red 6 is seeking an experienced Technical Supply Chain Manager to lead supply chain execution for internally designed, complex aerospace products supporting both internal production and contract manufacturing partners. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers, ensuring that critical components, assemblies, and custom hardware are sourced, qualified, and delivered in alignment with Red 6's DOD, aerospace, and industry standards. The ideal candidate has deep experience managing supply chains for complex electromechanical systems including PCBAs, harnesses, precision mechanical components, and custom aerospace hardware, and will manage Red 6's blended Approved Manufacturer List (AML) strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the technical supply chain for complex aerospace electromechanical products; lead sourcing strategies for internal builds and contract manufacturer production.
  • Support scaling of production through supplier capacity planning and risk mitigation; ensure continuity of supply for PCBAs, custom electronics, cables/harnesses, and precision mechanical assemblies.
  • Manage Red 6's direct and blended AML strategy; partner with Procurement to develop and maintain the AML; evaluate and onboard aerospace/DOD-capable suppliers.
  • Act as the primary technical supply chain interface between Red 6 and contract manufacturing partners; coordinate supply chain readiness for NPI, qualification, and production ramp.
  • Partner with Quality to ensure traceability, documentation, and aerospace compliance; monitor supplier delivery/quality/responsiveness metrics.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Procurement, and Quality; provide leadership updates on supply chain risks and supplier performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years in technical supply chain management, sourcing, or supplier management in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, or related field (technical role).
  • Experience managing supply chains for complex electromechanical systems (PCBAs, cables/harnesses, mechanical assemblies).
  • Proven experience working with contract manufacturers; strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and traceability.
  • Experience supporting NPI programs and production ramp; ability to obtain a security clearance (requires U.S. Citizenship).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting DOD or aerospace production programs; AS9100 quality environments.
  • Custom component supply chains; ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics; avionics hardware background.

Pay Range: $90,000-$150,000
